Diet in diseases of the pancreas and biliary guidelines :

   Diet in diseases of the pancreas and biliary tract should contain the normal amount of calories, provided for the population, but with the reduction of fat, while increasing carbohydrate intake. Meals should be eaten five times a day, with moderate volume (without overeating). An important element is the amount of fat and form of the meal, which is digested by pancreatic juice. The best way to prepare food are: steaming, stewing without frying, roasting in the foil or parchment. The best ratio of essential nutrients in the daily ration should be: protein - 65-90 g, fat - 40-50 g, carbohydrates - 345 g amount of fiber in the diet is dependent on individual tolerance. The diet high in vitamins C and E is advisable.

? Low-fat milk, skim milk, buttermilk (up to 0.5 liters per day), sour milk products, skimmed yoghurt, low fat cottage cheese and cheese (up to 3% fat), sour cream with 10% fat, condensed milk with 5% and 7.5 % fat, kefir,
? flour, potato flour, oats and wheat, rice, meal, pudding, pasta, corn flakes, soy bean sprouts, lentil sprouts, corn,
? wheat bread, toast, crackers, crusty bread, well baked bread mixed, Graham, wholemeal bread, yeast cake, sponge cake, fruit cake, gingerbread, rolls, corn crisps,
? sugar, fructose, glucose, honey, jelly, marmalade, sweeteners,
? apples and pears peeled, bananas, oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, melons, kiwi, peaches, apricots, stewed fruit from above,

? unripe fruit, plums, gooseberries, currants, apples and pears with skin, avocado
? acute mustard, pepper, red pepper in large quantities, the essence of english sauces, mayonnaise,
? strong coffee beans, carbonated drinks, alcohol,
? fatty beef, veal, pork, mutton, heavily salted, heavily charred meat, breaded, baked in meat fat, fat poultry (duck, goose), hearts, tongues, brains, skin of poultry,
? all greasy and heavily smoked varieties of sausage, ground pork, minced meat, pies, brawn, salami, sausages, black pudding,
? the fat chicken broth, butter sauces, boiled bones,
? lard, tallow, hard margarine,
